Release notes This Next release upgrades upstream to the release candidate DeepSeek Harness v0.2.2-rc.1, bringing on-demand macOS Computer Use (dsh-cua-bundle), OAR Subagents, LiveShare, and one-click third-party plugin updates to Next, adding embedded account top-up and usage views, native Save As, and image file drag-out, and fixing Windows sandbox command failures and idle Host exits.
DSH NEXT is a community-maintained open-source project, not an official DeepSeek product.

Upstream kernel breaking changes (dsh v0.2.2-rc.1)
DeepSeek Harness v0.2.2-rc.1 includes kernel API and runtime breaking changes that may affect third-party plugins and self-deployed environments:
- Third-party and custom plugin compatibility: Upstream upgrades to Cordis 4.1.0 and refactors conditional per-step tool activation, native vs. PTC tool execution, fixed per-step model routing, and asynchronous session projections; the standalone Git worktree plugin is now merged into Change requests and worktrees. Third-party plugins not yet updated for 0.2.2 may prevent startup and can be updated or disabled via Safe Mode or Plugins -> Installed in the recovery assistant; on-demand official bundles from an older release are automatically cleaned up before startup and can be re-enabled in Plugins.
- Self-deployed PTC and remote SSH upgrade requirements: The PTC control channel now uses birpc, the SSH protocol is bumped to v3, and cancelled execution status codes now return ABORTED; self-deployed bootstraps and remote SSH helpers must be upgraded together with 0.2.2-rc.1.
- Runtime and default policy changes: The minimum Node.js version for running DSH externally is raised to 24.9 (packaged desktop builds already bundle Node 24.21); undeclared custom-model capacities default to 1M context / 128K output; read-before-write and external-change checks are disabled by default; web_fetch allows proxy and private-network addresses by default.
