| Release notes | A follow-up to the section shortcuts from v2.66.0, asked for in Discussions #517. No permission or storage-format changes. Added • Settings has a search button. Tap the magnifier in the top bar and type: the results list every setting whose name, description or option labels hold all the words you typed, with the section each one is in. Settings named after the query come first. Tap a result and the page scrolls that setting to the top and moves focus to it, so TalkBack carries on from there. Section names work too ("Sync" lands on the sync heading). Case and Latin accents are ignored, so "theme" finds "Thème". Back or the close button ends the search and brings the shortcut row back. (#517) Limits • Search reads the words already on the page in your language; there are no extra keywords. A setting is found by what it says, not by every word you might call it. • The informational lines that aren't settings (the privacy statements, the version and app ID under App) are not results of their own; their section heading is. Fixed • Find in note keeps the keyboard where you left it. Switching between Edit and Preview with Find open no longer flickers the keyboard, and coming back from Focus mode with Find open leaves the cursor in the note instead of moving it to the search field. (#262) • The update banner in the GitHub (sideload) build shows up at the top of the note list. In the list layout it landed above the visible part of the list and only appeared if you scrolled up. It now sits under the app bar, like the conflict-copies banner. Store builds have no such banner. (#262) |
