BenchMe measures the following characteristics: access time in milliseconds, linear read speed in MB/s, and IOPS for a 512-byte block and queue depth (QD) 1 and 32. Maximum, minimum, and average values of access time and linear speed are also provided.
BenchMe displays the detailed information on the analyzed storage device such as device name, serial number, revision, and number of bytes per physical sector. The tool also provides a list of all the available capabilities of the device.

LowvelLowvel is a free tool to erase data from storage devices irreversibly. The tool overwrites data stored on the device with zeroes. Lowvel is also used to force a device to reallocate bad sectors, or improve write performance of an SSD without TRIM.
