The GD&T Trainer: Professional Edition 3.0

The GD and T Trainer Professional Edition is a virtual classroom in the fundamentals of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing right on your desktop. It makes computer-based training more like classroom training with features like instant lesson feedback, technical animations that demonstrate concepts, and audio narration. It also includes over 100 author's comments that give tolerancing insights from course developer and ETI president, Alex Krulikowski.
The GD and T Trainer features student-focused lessons, user-friendly navigation, and detailed full-color graphics. Other highlights include 3-D solid part examples, geometric control application and inspection examples, and a full glossary of GD and T terms. Course administration tools allow up to 2,000 student records and include a variety of advancements that make recording, accessing, and reporting student progress more manageable.
The technology integrated into the course allows this computer-based training program to closely parallel an actual classroom setting. Users receive a more 'hands on' approach to learning with animations that show exactly how a symbol is interpreted. Students can visualize a concept and understand it more readily, and-best of all-students can learn at their own pace.

Based on the ASME Y14.5M-1994 Standard, it includes 28 lessons covering the basic rules, definitions, and concepts of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. It includes quizzes that reinforce the material and that allow students to gauge their level of understanding. It runs on Windows 98se, NT, 2000, ME, and XP operating systems.
