| Release notes | VStitcher 2026.2.1 Release Notes Release Date: September 22nd, 2026 VStitcher brings displacement mapping directly into the real-time 3D viewer, giving you a more detailed and realistic view of materials as you design. This release also introduces virtual texturing for improved texture quality and performance, expands Auto Stitch with ruler support and improved discoverability, and adds enhancements across plugin licensing, Stylezone Connect translations, API capabilities, pattern information, and overall usability. Continued design system, quality, and stability improvements round out the release. Real-time displacement in the 3D viewer - Displacement mapping is now supported in the Unreal Engine 3D viewer, in both Standard and Lite. - New setting in Preferences -> Rendering, in the 3D Display Engine section: Enable Displacement in real-time 3D viewer. Off by default for all users and all files, including files that already contain displacement maps. - The setting applies to the open scene without restarting the viewer, persists across sessions, and is included in Preferences import and export. - The setting is independent of the production-render displacement option, and is unavailable when OpenGL (Deprecated) is the selected 3D Display Engine. - The setting can be read and written through the VStitcher API, with the same OpenGL restriction. - The warning "Displacement is not supported for Unreal production renders" has been removed, and the Displacement Map Channel editor title no longer reads "(Ray Trace Only)". - Enabling displacement increases GPU load and may affect performance on complex garments. - Windows is the supported platform in this release; macOS is planned for a later phase.
