About MegaProxy

Open-source VPN client for your HTTPS, SOCKS5, MASQUE ? (HTTP/3) or SSH server. HTTPS/SSH Jump supports two hops with separate authentication and trust checks. Servers and credentials are not included.

Optional app ownership checks on Android 10+: Standard and Advanced levels check TCP/UDP sources and block ping inside the VPN. Off by default; applies on reconnection. May delay TCP setup, slow UDP or disrupt apps whose owner cannot be identified.

o Route all apps or selected apps; local-network bypass and optional IPv6.

o Profiles, import/export, HTTPS configuration subscriptions, automatic failover and Android Always-on VPN.

o DoH by default, optional plain TCP/UDP DNS, TLS/QUIC/SSH presets and custom JA3.

o Connection diagnostics and download/upload speed tests with a shared exportable log; VPN visibility and IP reputation.

o Traffic totals/rates in IEC or SI, passive TCP/QUIC metrics, F-Droid/GitHub update checks, English and Russian interfaces.

o Optional HTTPS authentication diagnostics using an operator-provided knock host.

No account, ads or analytics. Passwords and private keys are encrypted at rest; logs stay local unless shared. Diagnostics, enabled app-update checks and configured subscriptions contact external services. SOCKS5 does not encrypt its connection or credentials. MASQUE is experimental.

o Added opt-in app ownership checks on Android 10+ that apply after reconnection, check new TCP connections, block unknown owners and VPN ping, and either cache UDP permission for up to one second per flow in Standard mode or check every outgoing datagram in Advanced mode.
o Visibility now shows the running source-validation level and whether saved changes require reconnection.
o Combined connection and speed tests in Diagnostics, which starts a connection test on opening, unlocks speed checks after success, and provides a shared log that can be copied or exported.
o Speed tests now default to HTTP/2 with HTTP/1.1 fallback, while HTTP/3 remains selectable.
o Added an optional operator-provided authentication check host for regular HTTPS-over-TCP diagnostics, where an explicit 407 confirms rejection while timeouts and unexpected statuses remain inconclusive.
o Authentication check hosts now transfer through JSON as proxy.knockHost with legacy browser.knockHost import support, and changing only this host does not require VPN reconnection.
o Fixed cancellation of destination SSH handshakes through Jump when the jump server stops responding, so stopping or cancelling the connection no longer waits on the stalled handshake.
