About Faugus

Faugus is a simple and lightweight application for running Windows games using UMU-Launcher.

Main Features:

• Play Windows games using Proton

• Play Linux native games

• Run Windows games directly from the .exe file

• Prefix management

• Shortcut and Steam shortcut management

Integrated tools:

• Winetricks: A helper tool to easily install dependencies, fonts, DLLs, and tweaks for Wine.

• Winecfg: Wine's graphical interface to configure Windows versions, libraries, drivers, and
integrations.

• MangoHud: Shows an overlay for monitoring FPS, temperatures, CPU/GPU load and more.

• Feral GameMode: Tweaks your system to improve performance.

• Prefer SDL: May fix controller issues in some games.

• Additional Application: An additional application to run with the game, like Cheat Engine,
Trainers, Mods...

• Lossless Scaling Frame Generation: Create fake frames to increase the framerate.

• Proton Manager: Download/Remove popular Proton builds.

• Wine Wayland Driver support (Experimental).

• HDR Support (Experimental).

Flatpak known issue:

• Gamescope doesn't work.

Release notes Sorry for releasing so many versions in such a short period.
I'm trying to get everything in order before the release of World of Warcraft: Forever, as I'll be a bit less active here afterward.
However, some issues have been coming up that require attention.

Additions / Changes
• Each game now has a unique window class.
This fixes taskbar grouping. Games launched through another application, like WoW through Battle.net, will still be grouped together, as this is a Wine/Proton issue.

It also fixes pinned shortcuts. Shortcuts need to be re-created to work.

• Added a suggestion menu to the SteamGridDB asset picker.
• Now skips the SteamGridDB asset fetch when the title entry loses focus while editing a game.

Fixes
• Fixed the sleep inhibitor not being released on game exit.
• Gamepad navigation is now locked by window focus instead of running games.
• Fixed retained memory after asset downloads and dialogs.

The following dependencies are required for the AppImage, as they cannot be bundled with it.
