About Artemis

Artemis is a software designed to assist radio frequency (RF) signal identification and storage. It simplifies real-time spectrum analysis by leveraging one of the most extensive and community-driven databases, containing over 500 recognized signals. This comprehensive software solution allows users to collect RF signals with specific parameters such as frequency, bandwidth, modulation, etc. Users can also store spectrum waterfalls, audio samples, and all types of documents for future reference. Artemis provides a robust platform to manage a wide range of RF data with precision and ease.

Artemis enhances RF propagation analysis with comprehensive space weather tracking. It offers near real-time (5-minute) data and forecasts to help users anticipate the effects of solar and geomagnetic conditions on RF communications.

Release info New Release on Jul 17, 2026
Release notes This release introduces officially signed Windows binaries, High DPI scaling support, a significant database layer refactoring using Peewee ORM with structured migrations, and key stability fixes.

• Added a badge in the DB manager to show which database is currently loaded

• Added a new field for each signal, including dedicated filtering, to track the specific database version in which the signal was introduced

• Added digitally signed Windows binaries (x86 and ARM64) via SignPath Foundation to establish application trust

• Added support for High DPI scaling to improve interface clarity on high-resolution displays

• Refactored the database layer from raw SQL queries to Peewee ORM to improve code maintainability

• Implemented a structured migration system to ensure full backward compatibility with existing databases

• Fixed a regression regarding the helper function to use up/down keys to navigate the signal list

• Moved resources import to main to fix resolution issues during Nuitka builds, ensuring the application icon appears in the taskbar

• Fixed the preview switch behavior to ensure it works properly (#86)

• Fixed the bandBar behavior to reset properly when the frequency is undefined
