About FTPGetter Standard
There are many good FTP client applications available today. Many of them provide all the features you need to browse FTP servers in comfort, and upload and download your files. Why would you need yet another FTP program?
While normal FTP clients work well for the occasional file transfers, for repetitive tasks and regular copying of large amounts of data, you need to use a more powerful tool. You should try FTPGetter. It has all the features a good FTP client should have, but, in addition, the program provides advanced mechanisms for task scheduling and automation.
You can install FTPGetter as a system service. It can start scheduled tasks at a specified time. For example, you can upload or download daily backups using FTPGetter...even incremental backups are possible. The program can calculate MD5 hashes for files and compare their time stamps. This allows you to transfer only new or updated files. After transferring your files, FTPGetter can automatically rename them, change their access permissions, delete the source files or perform other needed operations.
FTPGetter saves you valuable time by automating your everyday tasks. Created by professionals and for professionals, it uses every aspect of the FTP protocol to the max. The program supports secure FTP transfers in both explicit and implicit modes. Multi-threaded processing with the ability to limit bandwidth and quota helps you to fine tune the performance of each task. Several proxy modes supported (including the most common "HTTP Connect" method) allow you to connect without problems through any firewalls.
Whether you are a webmaster, a system administrator or a developer and you need a powerful, flexible, highly customizable yet easy-to-use and inexpensive FTP program, we recommend you try FTPGetter. This program is able to satisfy the most demanding user.
