About BikeTrackd
BikeTrackd is a cycling speedometer and GPS tracker built for Android with Jetpack Compose and Material 3.
Features:
o Real-time speedometer with animated counter and color gradient (green -> yellow -> red)
o GPS map with MapLibre GL, trail tracking, follow mode, and rotation
o Session recording with distance, max/avg speed, and duration persisted via Room
o GPX export for any recorded session
o Current weather display via Open-Meteo API
o Offline map tiles download (zoom 10-14, 40 km radius)
o Battery level indicator
o Metric/imperial unit toggle with live conversion
o Landscape and portrait optimized layouts
o Bike and parts management with wear tracking and maintenance alerts
o Speed limit warning
o Burn-in protection for OLED screens
o Adjustable font size
o Multiple languages (English, Portuguese)
Network services:
o Open-Meteo for weather display
o OpenFreeMap for online map tiles (optional offline downloads available)
o OpenStreetMap Nominatim for city search
o GraphHopper for A->B route navigation, using your own free API key (optional; unused without a key)
