About Snore Detector

Snore Detector is a privacy-first, 100% open source Android app for real-time snore detection and sleep analysis. All audio processing happens entirely on your device—no cloud services, tracking, telemetry, or network connection required.

Features

• Real-time snore detection using multiple digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms, including decibel level, RMS power, Zero-Crossing Rate (ZCR), snore-band spectral energy (100 Hz–1 kHz), and low-frequency spectral analysis.

• Privacy by design. Audio never leaves your device. No accounts, analytics, advertising, or external servers.

• Adjustable detection settings. Customize sensitivity and enable or disable individual detection algorithms.

• Snore event history. Detected events are stored locally with timestamps, duration, peak volume, and confidence information.

• Optional audio recording. Save short WAV recordings of detected snoring events for later playback.

• CSV export. Export your detection history for personal analysis or to share with healthcare professionals.

• Modern interface. Built with Jetpack Compose and Material 3, supporting light and dark themes.

Release notes Bug fixes for 1.1.0:
• Snoring is detected reliably again and dB readings are back to normal (1.1.0 read ~20 dB too high). If you raised the volume threshold in 1.1.0, lower it again (default 55 dB).
• App updates now keep your snoring history.
• Fixed the Settings screen layout on narrow screens and with large fonts.
• Rotating the screen no longer resets the view.
