About MDEZ++

MDEZ++ (mdez) is an open-source, lightweight, cross-platform C++20 and Qt GUI Markdown editor. Instead of a WYSIWYG editor, MDEZ++ renders a real-time live preview of your text in a split-screen pane using a fast, native, and minimal GUI. MDEZ++ can also edit any text-based file format, including HTML, plain text, and code files, making it highly versatile.

Release notes Many important changes have been added to MDEZ++ in Version v0.15.0!

For one, MDEZ++ got a spot on Flathub! Check it out at https://flathub.org/en/apps/io.github.tyleruploads.mdez!

You can download the Flatpak version on Flathub by running:

flatpak install flathub io.github.tyleruploads.mdez

Then, you can run it with:

flatpak run io.github.tyleruploads.mdez

A desktop entry point is also created, so you don’t need to manually type out that run command every time.

Another large change is that support for many tabs has been added! Instead of being an SDI (Single Document Interface), it is now an MDI (Multiple Document Interface). You can open up as many tabs as you want, and no features are lost! It’s like running as many instances of MDEZ++ as you want, but in one window, just with the main window stuff not duplicated! Doesn’t that sound nice?

An installer/setup file for Linux has also been created. To install MDEZ++ anywhere, without any prerequisites, you run one command (I know it seems redundant, but I made it before I got it on Flathub, and you can also locally compile it easily now):
